S.T.E.A.M. Powered: Monstrous Math!

Join us for a spooky afternoon of dealing with freaky fractals, scary subtraction, mysterious angles and more! This program will focus on the art and math parts of S.T.E.A.M. and involves both group and individual work. 

Registration opens Tuesday, October 9th at 10:00 am.

S.T.E.A.M. Powered is a collaboration between the Penticton Museum & Archives and the Penticton Public Library.

Afterschool Coding Club: littleBits

This program is open to tweens aged 8-12, will feature littleBits snap circuits, and requires working in pairs.

Maximum of 12 tweens, registration opens Wednesday, October 24 at 10:00 am.

Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) Meeting

If you want to boss the library around, are a superstar event planner, have stellar skills for finding books, comics, dvds & more that teens will love that we can fill our shelves with, AND want free pizza - we want you! The YAC is a group of teens aged 13-18 who tell us at the library how we're doing as well as plan our monthly teen events.

This meeting will focus on getting everything together for the Harry Potter-themed teen night tomorrow, Saturday November 10!

Free pizza donated is by Domino's Pizza for every YAC meeting.

Afterschool Coding Club: Intro to 3D Printing

We're excited to feature a guest for this program - Dan the Systems Librarian! Join him and Kali, the program assistant, as they introduce 3D printing, discuss all the different ways it can be used for STEAM jobs and personal hobbies, and customize a 3D design for yourself to be printed and picked up at a later date!

This program is open to tweens aged 8-12 and will feature a 3D Printer, TinkerCad software, and individual work.

Maximum of 12 tweens, registration opens Wednesday, November 7 at 10:00 am.
