Learn about the Da Vinci Bridge and other types of canyon-crossing creations during this afternoon program! Bring your best building brainstorms and get ready to work individually, in pairs, and in groups to complete bridge-building challenges set up by Library and Museum Staff

Dragons at the Library: Adventure TBA

Join us Thursday evenings once a month from January to June to become a swashbuckling, spell-slinging, sword-tossing, goblin-bashing, ballad-singing denizen with staff from the Library and Foundry under the expert tutelage of our resident Dungeon Master Mentor!

Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) where players create their own characters and go on adventures with them under the guidance of a Dungeon Master (DM). To read more about Dugeons & Dragons, click here: https://dnd.wizards.com/dungeons-and-dragons/what-is-dd

This program will provide teens with all the skills and tools to become both player and DM so by the end, they will be able to create their own adventures !The topic and adventure for this program will be announced soon!

 

We expect that all teens who register will be able to attend each of the six sessions from January to June for the following dates: January 30, February 13, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11. 

Please note: No experience is necessary to participate in this program! 

This program is FREE and open to a maximum of 12 teens aged 13-18. All materials will be provided for this program, but attendees are welcome to bring their own dice if they wish. Teens will be working in groups and under the guidance of a local Dungeon Master Mentor from the community. 

This program is a collaboration between the Penticton Public Library and Foundry Penticton.

Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) Meeting

If you want to boss library staff around, are a superstar event planner, have stellar skills for finding books, comics, dvds & more that teens will love that we can fill our shelves with, AND want free pizza - we want you! The YAC is a group of teens aged 13-18 who tell us at the library how we're doing as well as plan our monthly teen events.
