Tech Help

The Penticton Public Library can help answer your computer and tech questions. Get one-on-one help in our drop-in session. We are not taking appointments during this time. Service is first come first serve. If you cannot make this time or have any other questions please contact us by e-mail: techhelp@pentictonlibrary.ca

We cannot provide support for desk top computers, e-readers, or old Kobo tablets. Please refer to on-line guides for e-services posted on our website.

Examples of questions we can help with:

  • Getting to know your laptop, smartphone, or tablet
  • Emailing and texting family and friends
  • Using computer programs like Microsoft Word
  • Organizing your computer files
  • Downloading and using different apps on your phone or tablet
  • Using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more
  • Downloading library eBooks and audiobooks

Examples of questions we cannot help with:

  • Repairing or troubleshooting computer hardware
  • Removing viruses or malware
  • Doing online banking or shopping-related transactions
